Driver Information Center System Diagnostic System Check
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Driver Information Center System Diagnostic System Check

NOTE:
Use this check as starting point for any driver information center system complaint.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). If scan tool powers up, go to next step. If scan tool does not power up, go to SCAN TOOL DOES NOT POWER UP under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - IMPALA & MONTE CARLO article.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, attempt to establish communications with Driver Information Center (DIC). If communication is established, go to next step. If communication cannot be established, go to SCAN TOOL DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CLASS 2 DEVICE under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - IMPALA & MONTE CARLO article.
- Select driver information center DISPLAY DTCS function on scan tool. If scan tool displays any DTCs, go to next step. If scan tool does not display any DTCs, perform appropriate procedure. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTCs U1000-U1305 are not present, go to next step. If DTCs U1000-U1305 are present, go to SCAN TOOL DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CLASS 2 DEVICE under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - IMPALA & MONTE CARLO article.
- Check for DTCs B1000, B1007, B1009, B1339, B1349 or B1440. If DTCs are not present, go to next step. If any DTC is present, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - IMPALA & MONTE CARLO article.
- Check for DTCs B1482, B1483, B1507, B1508, P0560 or P0620. If DTCs are not present, test is complete. If any DTC is present, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
