Installation Procedure
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Buick LaCrosse and 2007 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the insulator to the battery.
- Install the battery.
- Install the battery hold down.
- Install the battery hold down bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Install the positive battery terminal (1) to the battery.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Install the right front diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (3.8L) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (3.6L) .
IMPORTANT:
Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during installation.
