Forward Servo: Installation

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation

  1. Install the servo spring. Install the piston assembly.
  2. Install the O-ring. Install the servo cover. See Figure .
  3. Install the 3 forward servo cover attaching bolts. Tighten the forward servo cover attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Remove the drain pan from under the forward servo cover.
  5. Adjust the jackstand to raise the rear of the frame. Install the frame bolts. See appropriate REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
  6. Remove the support from the rear of the frame.
  7. Install the power steering lines to the right side of the frame.
  8. Install the engine mount lower nuts. Install the transaxle mount lower nuts.
  9. Install the power steering gear. See appropriate POWER RACK & PINION article in STEERING.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION  .
