2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper and lower liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  2. Remove the liftgate window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (BUICK) or WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (PONTIAC) .
  3. Remove the liftgate latch strikers. Refer to LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)  or LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  4. Remove the liftgate bumper mounting brackets.

  5. Remove the liftgate struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  6. Mark the location of the liftgate hinges to the liftgate with a grease pencil.
  7. Remove the bolts from the liftgate hinges, with an assistant.
  8. Remove the liftgate from the vehicle, with an assistant and place outside face down on a clean padded surface.
