2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the liftgate hinges to the marked location points on the liftgate, with an assistant.
  2. Install the bolts to the liftgate hinges, with an assistant.

    Tighten the liftgate hinge bolts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  3. Install the liftgate struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  4. Install the liftgate latch strikers. Refer to LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)  or LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  5. Install the liftgate bumper mounting brackets.
  6. Install the liftgate window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (BUICK) or WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (PONTIAC) .
  7. Install the upper and lower liftgate trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  8. Adjust the liftgate as required. Refer to HINGE REPLACEMENT - END GATE
