- Release the locking tabs on the lift gate trim panel access panel and remove the access panel.
- Remove the wing nuts from the studs on the lift gate applique.
- Remove the lift gate applique nuts.
- Partially remove the lift gate applique to access the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the lift gate applique electrical connector.
- Remove the lift gate applique.
- Remove the license plate lamp sockets from the lift gate applique.
- Remove the lift gate applique lamp sockets from the lift gate applique.
- Remove the backup lamp sockets and harness from the lift gate applique.
