2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

NOTE: Do not engage the child safety switch on the endgate latch. If the endgate is closed with the child safety switch engaged, the endgate will not open unless you remove the endgate trim panel. Removal will damage the endgate trim panel.
  1. Align the endgate latch to the end gate.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the endgate latch.
  3. Connect the endgate latch rod to the endgate latch.
  4. Slide the endgate latch into the end gate.
  5. Install the endgate latch bolts.

    Tighten the endgate latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the endgate latch rod to the bellcrank. Refer to BELLCRANK REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  8. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  9. Close the endgate.
  10. Close the liftgate.
