Removal & Installation: Compressor: Installation

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation

  1. Add 2 ounces of PAG oil to the compressor crankcase. Install the compressor drain plug. Tighten the compressor drain plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the A/C compressor. Install the A/C compressor front nuts. Tighten the nuts to specification. Install the A/C compressor rear bolts. Tighten bolts to specification.
  2. Install the new sealing washers. Install the A/C compressor hose assembly to the rear of the A/C compressor. Install the A/C compressor hose nut to the compressor. Tighten the nut to specification. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C compressor.
  3. Install the lower air deflector. Install the right side engine splash shield. Lower the vehicle. Install the accessory drive belt. Install the cross vehicle brace. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
