Spring Shackle: Installation
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation

- Install spring shackle to the vehicle.
- Install the spring shackle to leaf spring mounting bolt and nut. DO NOT tighten the nut. See Fig 1.
- Install the frame to the spring shackle mounting bolt and nut. DO NOT tighten the nut.
- Raise the axle support so that there is a distance of 170 mm plus or minus 6 mm (6.7 in. plus or minus 0.24 in.) between the axle tube and the metal surface of the bumper bracket (1). See Figure.
- Tighten the spring shackle mounting nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove rear axle support.
- Raise exhaust system and connect rear exhaust hangers, if necessary.
- Install spare tire, if necessary.
- Install the EVAP canister on 2-Door utility models.
- Install the fuel tank on 2-Door utility models.
- Lower the vehicle.
