Installation Procedure
Place the front side door window (1) into the door frame.
- Place the front side door window (1) in the full up position and tape in place.
Front Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer (2) - Install
- If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Place the window regulator sash retainer (1) in the full up position.
- Remove the tape holding the front side door window in the full up position.
Install by pressing down firmly on the front side door window belt reveal molding (2) until seated to the pinch-weld flange on the door panel.
- Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding (2) - Install NEW
- If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Side Door Inner Window Sealing Strip (1) - Install
- Press firmly to install the front side door window inner sealing strip (1) back onto the door flange.
- NOTE:
Ensure that the door weatherstrip is not trapped below the window garnish molding (1) once completely installed. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

- WARNING:
When installing the water deflector, ensure that the water deflector is securely fastened to the door inner before installing the door trim. An improper seal of the water deflector against the door inner may affect the ability of the front door pressure sensor to detect a side collision. This may result in improper airbag deployment and could cause bodily injury.
