Removal and Installation

2013 Volkswagen Beetle Base, 2D Hatchback, 2.5L Eng VIN X, Automatic TransSECTION Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Five Hundred 

  3. Remove the rear seat cushion and the rear corner backrest. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
  4. Freestyle 

  5. Remove the C-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  6. All vehicles 

  7. Disconnect the fuel pump driver module (FPDM) electrical connector.
  8. Remove the 2 nuts and the FPDM.
    • To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
  9. To install reverse the removal procedure.
