Output Diagnostic Test Mode
• It depends on the vehicle equipment whether the components listed below can be checked.
The following components and functions can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (D) of vehicle electrical system control module:
• Left Parking Lamp (M1) , Right Parking Lamp (M3) , Left Tail Lamp (M4) and Right Tail lamp (M2)
• Left Low Beam Headlamp (M29) and Right Low Beam Headlamp (M31)
• Left High Beam Headlamp (M30) and Right High Beam Headlamp (M32)
• Left Low Beam Reflector Motor (V294) and Right Low Beam Reflector Motor (V295)
• Left Front Fog Lamp (L22) and Right Front Fog Lamp (L23)
• Right Back-Up Lamp (M17)
• Left Brake Lamp (M9) , Right Brake Lamp (M10) and High-mount Brake Light (M25)
• Left Rear Fog Lamp (L46)
• License Plate Lamp (X)
• Left Front Turn Signal Bulb (M5) , Driver Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamp Bulb (L131) and Left Rear Turn Signal Bulb (M6)
• Right Front Turn Signal Bulb (M7) , Front Passenger Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamp Bulb (L132) and Right Rear Turn Signal Bulb (M8)
• Left Footwell Lamp (W9) and Right Footwell Lamp (W10)
• Interior light dimmed
• Instrument illumination of all buttons and switches and of instrument cluster
• Power Supply Relay (terminal 30, B+) (J317)
• LED for heated rear window / heated rear window
• LED for heated exterior mirror / heated exterior mirror
• Enabling of sunroof
• Enabling of seat heater
• Fuel Pump (FP) Relay (J17)
• Relay for Headlamp Cleaning System (J39) and Headlamp Washer Pump (V11)
• Front windshield wiper
• Wiper module reversing point
• Windshield Washer Pump (V5)
• Horn Relay (J4) , High Tone Horn (H2) and Low Tone Horn (H7)
• Left Daytime Running Lamp (L174) and Right Daytime Running Lamp (L175)
• Left Cornering Lamp (L148) and Right Cornering Lamp (L149)
• Heated Windshield (Z2)
• Luggage compartment lock
• Engine compartment lamp
- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Testing and Inspection
- On the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, select "Guided Fault Finding".
- Using the "GO TO" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:
• Body
• Electrical Equipment
• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems
• Vehicle electrical system control module
• Functions of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module
• Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module
