Steering Column Switch, From 06.10, Overview

There are different versions of the Steering column electronic systems control module (J527) , the Steering column combination switch (E595) and the steering column switch base carrier depending on the manufacturer (Valeo or Kostal). The Valeo version is shown in the illustration.






1 - Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527)

3 - Base Carrier For Steering Column Switches

4 - Shear Bolts

M8 x 20

Break-off torque: approximately 15 Nm

5 - Steering Lock Housing

The steering lock housing must be remove and installed together with the steering column switch base carrier.
