Auxiliary Tank Fuel Level Sensor -G292-, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required






- Wrench for fuel tank sender 3087







- Torque wrench (40..0.200 Nm) V.A.G1332

Removing
- Observe safety measures before performing repair work.
- Turn ignition and all electrical consumers off and remove ignition key.
- With ignition switched off disconnect battery ground strap.
- Remove fuel delivery unit Item - 4 -.







- Release and pull off terminals for wires - 3 - and - 4 -.
- Lift retaining tabs - 1 - and - 2 - with a screwdriver and pull Auxiliary tank fuel level sensor -G292- out downward.

Installing
- Insert auxiliary tank fuel level sensor in guides on fuel delivery unit and push up until it engages.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order.
