Front axle camber, centering
Special tools, workshop equipment, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required





- VAG 1941 Camber adjustment device
Only by moving the subframe it is possible to change the camber slightly.
- Remove noise insulation tray.





- Unscrew hex bolts -3- and -4-.





- Insert camber adjustment device --VAG 1941-.
Tightening torque of hex bolts -1- 10 Nm.





- Loosen hex bolts -1-, -2-, -5-, -6-, -7- and -8-.





- Turn bolt -2- until the specifications are achieved.
Specifications for vehicle alignment, Refer to alignment specifications.
- Relieve tension on bolt -2- and check the readings obtained, if necessary correct camber again.





- Screw in new hex bolts -7- and -8-.
- Remove camber adjustment device --VAG 1941-.
- Screw in new front hex bolts -5- and -6- and tighten, Refer to Front Suspension, Service and Repair, Front Suspension, Servicing, See item 28.
- Tighten new hex bolts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4- , Refer to Front Suspension, Service and Repair, Front Suspension, Servicing, See - item 27.

Important: The toe must be checked after each camber adjustment.
