Installation Instructions
- Apply adhesive material (continuous bead to pre-coating -1-, applicator at right angle to window.
Warning!
Window must be installed within 10 minutes, otherwise adhesive properties of adhesive sealant will be impaired.
- With help of two double suction cups (V.A.G 1344) install glass pane in window opening, center and press in onto the spacing lip.
- Windshield gap/shut line.
- Secure windshield during curing time with windshield/window adjusters (443 845 631 A).
- It is absolutely necessary to install the plenum chamber cover as described on.
- Replace stickers (e.g. for airbag).
- When installing, place mirror -1- in position, turned 60 ... 90°,to mounted position and turn until locking spring clicks into place.
- Rear window gaps/shut lines.
- Wagon rear window gaps/shut lines 4.5 mm all-round.
- Secure rear window glass in position with adhesive tape during the curing process.
- If the adhesive bead has been applied too thick and the adhesive expands onto the area of the window heating, then the excess adhesive must be removed.
- Insert wagon side window with locating pins first.
- When reusing a removed window:
- Fit window, onto body flange and align with C pillar -arrow A- and D pillar -arrow B-.
- Secure side window glass in position with adhesive tape during the curing process
