Generator

Removal

Caution: When disconnecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the repair manual.

- Disconnect battery. Refer to Service and Repair

- Bring lock carrier into service position. Refer to Service and Repair

- Drain coolant. Refer to Coolant





- Remove hose for crankshaft housing ventilation, open crankshaft housing retainer -arrows- to do so.

- Drain engine oil.





- Disconnect coolant hose -arrows-.





- Loosen coolant hose -arrow-.





- Loosen coolant hose -arrow-.





- Loosen coolant hose -arrow-.
- Remove water pipe toward coolant expansion tank.





- Remove belt pulley -arrow-.





- Loosen oil hoses at oil cooler -arrow-.





- Loosen coolant hose clamps and bracket of oil cooler hose -arrows-.





- Remove bolts -arrows- of generator and lay carefully aside on oil pan.





- Disconnect harness connector of DF wire -A- and remove protective cap of B+ wire -B-.

- Remove the B+ wire from generator.





- Loosen wiring clip -arrow-.





- Remove clamp from generator -arrow-.
- Remove generator upward.

Installation

- Installation is the reverse of removal.
