Airbag Control Module - J234 -, Removing And Installing
CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for working on airbags
Removing
- Remove center console and cover for center instrument panel.
- Disconnect vehicle battery.
- Swing bracket - 2 - in opposite direction of arrow and pull out harness connector - 3 - from control module - 1.
- Remove nuts - 4 - and pull control module from studs (nut - 4 - = 6 Nm).
Installing
- Installation is the reverse order of removal.
- Switch ignition on.
CAUTION: Make sure no one is in the vehicle.
- Connect vehicle battery.
- If control module was replaced, it must be coded, adapt (code) components.
