Cylinder Head





Tighten cylinder head in tightening sequence as follows:
- Pretighten all bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
- Then tighten all bolts a 1/4 turn (90°) further using a rigid wrench.
- Then tighten all bolts again a 1/4 turn (90°) further.

Camshaft Bearing Caps bolts 10 Nm (take note of dowel sleeves).

Crankshaft Bearing Cap Torque
Assembly 65 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
To measure radial clearance 65Nm, but NOT additional 90°

Connecting rod bearing cap torque
Always replace bolts
Assembly 30 Nm + 90°(1/4 turn) further
To measure radial clearance 30 Nm, but NOT additional 90°

Camshaft Sprocket 65 Nm
Crankshaft Toothed Belt Sprocket 90 Nm + 90°
Vibration Damper/belt Pulley 25 Nm
Intake manifold bolts 10 Nm
Exhaust Manifold to Cyl. Head 25 Nm
Coolant pump bolts 15 Nm
Drive plate bolts 60 Nm and turn 90° (1/4 turn) further
(turning further can be done in several stages).
Oil Pump bolt 15 Nm
