Airbag Control Module, Coding With V.A.G1551 Scan Tool (ST)
Coding is only possible when using a new control module.
- Connect Scan Tool (ST), Initiate On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
- Switch printer on via the print-button (indicator lamp in button lights up).

Display indicates the control module identification number with the appropriate letter index, code number and workshop code.
Coding has been completed if specified content is indicated.
If the code number entered is not accepted by the control module, the following content is displayed:

In this case, the control module was not programmed with the data required for the vehicle. Coding is not possible then. Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- does not go out and remains constantly lit. It must be determined whether the control module appropriate to the vehicle was installed (compare part number and letter index) or whether the incorrect code number was entered.
