NOTE: The following description refers only to the VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST).
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST). Scan Tool Connecting and Initial Checks
- Switch on ignition.
Indicated on display:
VAG - On Board Diagnostic HELP
1 - Rapid data transfer*
2 - Blink code output*
* Two operating modes are displayed alternately
- Press button -1- to select operating mode 1, "Rapid data transfer".
Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer HELP
Enter address word XX
- Press buttons 2- and -5- to input address word 25, "Immobilizer".
Indicated on display:

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Enter address word 25 for immobilizer again after correcting malfunction and press Q button to confirm.
