Wear limit 1.0 mm (0.039 in.)
Oil scraper ring:
New 0.25-0.50 mm (0.0098-0.0197 in.)
Wear limit 1.0 mm (0.039 in.)
Piston Ring Side Clearance [2]:
Compression rings:
New 0.02-0.05 mm (0.0008-0.0019 in.)
Wear limit 0.15 mm (0.0059 in.)
Oil scraper ring:
New 0.02-0.05 mm (0.0008-0.0019 in.)

[1]: Piston ring end gaps are checked with the piston rings inserted approximately 15 mm (5/8 in.) from the bottom of the cylinder.
[2]: Piston ring grooves should be thoroughly cleaned before checking ring side clearance. Measure each ring in its original groove.
