Electro/hydraulic convertible top, assembly overview
1 - Convertible top switch
- In center console
2 - Control module
- Under rear seat
3 - Convertible top frame main bracket
- Qty. 2
4 - Hydraulic cylinder
- Qty. 2
5 - Fluid level indicator
- Hydraulic oil level must be between min. and max. marks when convertible top is open.
- Oil for convertible top hydraulics G 002 000 in 1000 ml. (34f1 oz.) container.
6 - Oil filler plug
- 5 Nm (44 in.lb)
7 - Pressure relief screw
- Removing pressure relief screw releases pressure in hydraulic system allowing manual convertible top operation.
8 - Hydraulic hose
9 - Hydraulic pump
- For vehicles up to VIN 1E-T-018000 there are slight design changes.
10 - Reed contact switch
- Qty. 2
- Contact switches on top of rear side trim together with rod magnets on convertible top cover prevent convertible top from closing when top cover is installed.
