EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Intake Air Temperature Sensor:





1. Warm the engine to normal operating temperatures.
2. With the ignition "OFF", disconnect the intake air temperature sensor and measure the resistance between the 2 terminals of the sensor.

NOTE: It will be necessary to take an accurate measurement of the ambient air temperature within the intake manifold.

Intake Air Temperature Chart (EGR):





^ Refer to the intake air temperature graph for the correct measurement.

If the correct measurement is not obtained replace the intake air temperature sensor.
