Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the battery ground strap.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the radio and all necessary switches from the instrument bezel.
4. Remove the instrument bezel.
5. Carefully pull the instrument cluster out far enough to disconnect the speedometer cable and all electrical connections.
NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the knee bar to access the cable from below.
6. Lift out the instrument cluster.
Vehicle Speed Sensor:
7. Remove the contact plate mounting screws and carefully slide out the vehicle speed sensor.
8. Reinstall in reverse manner.
