DTC P062F-46: Internal Control Module EEPROM Calibration / Parameter Memory Failure [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

2025 Toyota Highlander XLE, FWDSECTION Procedure
  1. PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE) 
    1. According to the display on the GTS, download the previous status (the number of starter operations) from the engine stop and start ECU to the GTS.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility

  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

  3. PERFORM REGISTRATION (STARTER EXCHANGE, RESET A/C INFORMATION, DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CLEAR) 
    1. Clear the number of starter operations.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility

    2. Clear the air conditioning information.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility

      Reset A/C Information
    3. Clear the zero point calibration data of the deceleration sensor.

  4. PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE) 
    1. According to the prompts on the GTS screen, write the information to the engine stop and start ECU.

    2. Perform air conditioning information learning.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]

      HINT: 

      When initialization of the air conditioning information is complete, air conditioning information learning is automatically performed.

    3. Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Start the engine and warm it up.
    2. Turn the air conditioning system off.
    3. Drive the vehicle at 7 km/h (4 mph) or more.
      WARNING:

      When performing Confirmation Driving Pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

    4. Depress the brake pedal and stop the vehicle.
    5. Allow the engine to stop by stop and start control. (Keep the shift lever in D.)
    6. Release the brake pedal with the shift lever in D to start the engine.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Trouble Codes 

    8. Check the number of starter operations.
