Rear Power Window LH Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Rear Power Window Switch LH [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

2025 Toyota Highlander XLE, FWDSECTION Procedure
  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (RL-DOOR MOTOR) 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > RL-Door Motor > Data List

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (for Rear LH Door) 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH door).

  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (AUTO UP / DOWN FUNCTION) 
    1. Check that the rear LH door power window moves when the auto up and down functions of the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door) are operated.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2019 - ]

      OK

      Rear LH door auto up and down functions are normal.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE)

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Door). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

  4. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH Door) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

    REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH Door). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH Door) - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Door)) 
    1. Disconnect the K9 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH door) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K7-8 (AUTO) - K9-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-8 (AUTO) or K9-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
