2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5, RWDSECTION Procedure
  1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE 
    1. Measure the resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Vacuum Switching Valve)

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
        1 (+B) - 2 (ACM) 20°C (68°F) 37 to 44 Ω Ω
        1 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        2 (ACM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. Check the vacuum switching valve operation.

      *a Port (F)
      *b Port (E)
      *c Air filter
      1. Apply negative pressure of 67 kPa (500 mmHg, 19.7 in.Hg) absolute pressure to port (F).
      2. Check air flows from port (E) to the air filter.
      3. Apply auxiliary battery voltage across the terminals.

        *a Port (F)
        *b Port (E)
      4. Check air flows from port (E) to port (F).
    3. If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.
