Removal [12/2024 - ]: Procedure
2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5, RWDSECTION Procedure
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD with Cover)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for 4WD/AWD)
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2024 - ]
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING D (for 4WD/AWD)
- for 1Motor-HEV Model:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
- for Gasoline Model:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- for 1Motor-HEV Model:
- REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR
- Disconnect the crank position sensor connector.
- Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and crank position sensor from the cylinder block sub-assembly.NOTE:
If the crank position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Perform this procedure only when reusing the crank position sensor.
- Remove the O-ring from the crank position sensor.
NOTE:- Make sure to only remove the O-ring with bare hands.
- When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the crank position sensor.
- If the O-ring groove of the crank position sensor is damaged, replace the crank position sensor with a new one.
