Removal [12/2024 - ]: Procedure

2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WDSECTION Procedure
  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Cover) 
  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Cover) 
  3. REMOVE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

      1. Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
      2. Using SST, remove the engine oil temperature sensor from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
        • SST: 09817-33191 
        NOTE:

        If the engine oil temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      3. Remove the gasket from the engine oil temperature sensor.
