  1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    WARNING:
    • Do not put your hands into the water that has been heated for the inspection.
    • Touching the heated water could result in burns.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      1 (THEO) - 2 (E2) 30°C (86°F) 2.647 to 3.021 kΩ
      NOTE:

      If checking the engine oil temperature sensor in water, be careful not to allow water to contact the terminals. After checking, wipe the water off the engine oil temperature sensor.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the engine oil temperature sensor.
