2011 Toyota Yaris L4-1.5L (1NZ-FE)SECTION Removal




1NZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: KNOCK SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

3. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO. 2 Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE NO. 1 Removal

5. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE Removal

6. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE NO. 2 Removal

7. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD





(a) Separate the engine wire harness from the intake manifold.

(b) Separate water by-pass hose No. 2.





(c) Disconnect the ventilation hose.





(d) Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.





(e) Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold.





(f) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

9. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR





(a) Disconnect the knock sensor connector.

(b) Remove the nut and remove the knock sensor.
