2011 Toyota Yaris L4-1.5L (1NZ-FE)SECTION Installation




1NZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: KNOCK SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR





(a) Install the knock sensor with the nut as shown in the illustration.

Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the knock sensor connector.

2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.

(b) Install the intake manifold with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.





Torque : 30 Nm (304 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the union to connector tube hose.





(d) Connect the ventilation hose.





(e) Install water by-pass hose No. 2.





(f) Install the engine wire harness onto the intake manifold.





3. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY Installation

4. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE NO. 2 Installation

5. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE Installation

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE NO. 1 Installation

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

9. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE Testing and Inspection

10. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO. 2 Installation
