SPARK PLUG WIRES
REMOVAL

1. Remove air induction resonator.
2. Remove upper EI module bolts.
IMPORTANT: Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to remove spark plug wires from the coil tower by gently prying between the EI module and black CPA.
3. Twist boots to break any bonding. Gently pull spark plug boots off EI module.
4. Twist boots to break any bonding and remove spark plug wires from spark plugs.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Install the correct spark plug wire on the correct EI module coil tower as indicated on the illustration.

1. Install spark plug wires with (CPA) on EI module. Make sure orientation of wires is correct.
2. Install upper EI module bolts.
Torque:
EI Module Bolts: 8 N.m (71 in-lbs)
IMPORTANT: Install the spark plug wires on the correct spark plugs as indicated on each spark plug wire Make sure routing of wire on engine is away from moving parts and exhaust.
Torque:
CPA Attachment Nuts-to-Valve Cover: 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs)

3. Install air induction resonator.
4. Start engine to verify no misfires exist.
REMOVAL
1. Remove air induction resonator.
2. Remove upper EI module bolts.
IMPORTANT: Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to remove spark plug wires from the coil tower by gently prying between the EI module and black CPA.
3. Twist boots to break any bonding. Gently pull spark plug boots off EI module.
4. Twist boots to break any bonding and remove spark plug wires from spark plugs.
INSTALLATION

3. Install air induction resonator.
4. Start engine to verify no misfires exist.
