Information on New RKE/SSS Module for Vehicles Equipped with 10 Remote Keyless Entry/Saturn Security System (RKE/SSS)
MODELS AFFECTED:
1991-1997 Saturns equipped with Retailer installed Saturn security system (SSS) or 1997 Saturns equipped with factory installed remote keyless entry/Saturn security system (RKE/SSS) (AU0).
IMPORTANT:
This bulletin does not affect 1996 Saturns equipped with factory installed RKE.
PURPOSE:

A new RKE/SSS module (P/N 21024608) is released for servicing the above mentioned vehicles. If RKE/SSS module (P/N 21024608) is installed on these vehicles, additional program modes will he available. (Refer to the information on programming the Saturn security system.)
PROGRAMMING THE SATURN SECURITY SYSTEM
IMPORTANT:
The following information is for 1997 production vehicles equipped with factory installed RKE/SSS or 1991-1997 vehicles with Retailer installed Sautrn security systems. The Saturn security system can be programmed to any of the following modes; however, unless otherwise requested by the customer, the Saturn security system should be programmed to mode 1. If the customer requests the passive arming feature to be enabled, use mode 5.
IMPORTANT:
The module will be shipped with two pocket information cards and one owners manual page addendum indicating the optional mode selections and operating procedures. Forward this information to the vehicle owner.
