The ABS control module counts 29 pulses per wheel revolution. Depending on the size of tire and wheel (physical circumference), one kilometer will correspond to a different number of pulses when the main instrument unit obtains a reading from the ABS. It is therefore possible to change the main instrument unit's interpretation of the total number of pulses per kilometer so that it corresponds to the size of tire fitted on the car.
