16 VALVE NON-TURBO ENGINE ONLY

Perform the following checks at the back of electrical connector for the EZK control unit using a high resistance digital volt/ohmmeter.
1. Connect volt/ohmmeter between terminal 10 and terminal 4, battery voltage should be present.
2. Connect volt/ohmmeter between terminal 24 and terminal 10. Turn ignition to On position, then slowly turn engine over by hand. Meter reading should be less than .4 volt (shutter wheel in open position) or greater than 3 volts (shutter wheel in closed position).
3. If steps 1 and 2 or not as specified, check wiring harness and connectors. Replace sensor as necessary.
