- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
- Disconnect the left knock sensor electrical connector, if required.
- Remove the left knock sensor bolt, if required.
- Remove the left knock sensor, if required.
- Disconnect the right knock sensor electrical connector (2), if required.
- Remove the right knock sensor bolt, if required.
- Remove the right knock sensor, if required.
