2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the right knock sensor to the engine block, if required.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the right knock sensor bolt, if required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the right knock sensor electrical connector (2), if required.

  7. Position the left knock sensor to the engine block, if required.
  8. Install the left knock sensor bolt, if required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  10. Connect the left knock sensor electrical connector, if required.
  11. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
