IMPORTANT:
If DTC resets after rezeroing, it may be necessary to perform this rezeroing procedure several times.
- Ignition ON, use the scan tool. Use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures . Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing . Verify DTC 034 exist.
- Remove the PPS and passenger seat bottom cushion assembly and allow to air dry (approximately 24 hours). Reinstall the PPS and seat bottom cushion assembly. Note: refer to Passenger Presence System (PPS) Replacement in repair instructions.
- Ignition ON, use the scan tool. Use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures . Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing . Verify DTC 034 exist.
- Replace the PPS if DTC 034 reset.
