Installation Procedure
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the generator bracket to the stud.
- Install the generator bracket bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install the lower generator bracket bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the lower tensioner bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
- Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (L26) or Generator Replacement (LY7) or Generator Replacement (LS4) .
