  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  2. Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the ground circuits X1 terminals 12 and 15 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, measure between the Ignition Voltage circuit X1 terminal 8 and ground. The readings should not differ by more than 2 volts than the battery terminal voltage.
    • If less than the specified range, test the Ignition Voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
