Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the supplementary inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the garnish molding windshield. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  3. Remove the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the upper rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear quarter window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the headliner assembly. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
1 Restraint Roof Rail Module Bolt (Qty: 7)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Restraint Roof Rail Module Connector
3 Inflatable Roof Rail Module
Tip:  If the air bag had a DTC, and must be returned for warranty, refer to Inflator Module Handling and Scrapping .
