  1. Ignition OFF, inspect the vehicle for signs of inflator module or pretensioner deployment. Verify that the vehicle does not show any signs of inflator deployment.
  2. Use a scan tool and observe the SIR DTC display, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle . The scan tool should indicate DTC B0051 is not set.
    • If DTC B0051 is set then replace the SDM.
