IMPORTANT:
If DTC resets after rezeroing, it may be necessary to perform this rezeroing procedure several times.
- Remove the PPS and passenger seat bottom cushion assembly and allow to air dry (approximately 48 hours).
- Reinstall the PPS and seat bottom cushion assembly.
- Ignition ON, use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing .
- Verify DTC 034 does not exist as current, refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures .
- If DTC 034 resets as current, replace the PPS.
