2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the window latch electrical connector (2) from the liftgate harness (1).
  4. Remove the window latch electrical connector retainer (3) from the liftgate (4).
  5. Close the liftgate.

  7. Open the liftgate window.
  8. Remove the bolts (3) from the rear liftgate window connector (4).
  9. Remove the rear liftgate window connector (4) away from the liftgate (5).
  10. Remove the bolts (2) from the liftgate window latch (1).
  11. Pull liftgate window latch (1) away from liftgate (5) and disconnect the rod from the latch.
