2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the rod to the liftgate window latch.
  2. Install the liftgate window latch (1) to the liftgate (5).
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the bolts (2) to the liftgate window latch (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the liftgate window latch bolts to 7.0 N.m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the rear liftgate window connector (4) to the liftgate (5).
  6. Install the bolts (3) to the liftgate window connector (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the liftgate window connector bolts to 7.0 N.m (62 lb in).

  7. Close the liftgate window.

  9. Open the liftgate.
  10. Install the liftgate window latch electrical connector retainer (3) to the liftgate (4).
  11. Connect the liftgate window latch electrical connector (2) to the liftgate harness (1).
  12. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  13. Close the liftgate.
