Removal Procedure

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  4. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the front seat belt retractor. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front  or Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Right Front .
  6. Remove the side impact sensor electrical connector.

  8. Remove the side impact sensor fastener (2).
  9. Remove the side impact sensor (1).
