2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the side impact sensor (1).
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the side impact sensor fastener (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the side impact sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the front seat belt retractor. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Left Front  or Seat Belt Retractor Pretensioner Replacement - Right Front .
  6. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the rear door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  8. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
