2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the SDM assembly (1) into the vehicle, taking care to ensure that the connectors are pointing toward the rear of the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the 3 SDM fasteners (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 17.5 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the SDM electrical connectors.
  5. Install the under seat duct.
  6. Install the center console and then install the rear console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  8. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
